Owner Assistance through Charlie’s Fund

For years, Safe Harbor Sanctuary has provided financial assistance related to veterinary bills, vaccinations, castrations and humane euthanasia when privately contacted about a horse or owner in need. Charlie's Fund from Safe Harbor Sanctuary is an owner-assistance program for horse owners in middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky. It will provide assistance with these very real needs.

Our goal in 2022 and beyond is to help more owners and horses in the middle Tennessee area with these needs and expenses, as donations to this program allow us to do so. Please note: We will continue to host our spring and fall castration clinics, which are open to all owners. An examination by a veterinarian will be performed prior to any request for euthanasia, and an ethical decision will be made at that time.

Once we have our initial funding established, an application process will ensure that those in need receive the funds, which will be paid directly to the owner's veterinarian. 

We appreciate any gift of any amount, but are most grateful for sustaining donors who are able to give on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis.
