Success story: Cash was adopted in 2019. He will be a teaching horse for veterinary students at Lincoln Memorial University and will return to Safe Harbor for permanent retirement if necessary.
Cash was evaluated by the veterinarian on 11/8/19. He is adoptable as a companion, therapy or lead line horse. At this point in his life, he will not be sound for riding at more than very brief walks on level ground, and no driving.
Cash is an ex-Amish Standie, so he is as close to bombproof as you can get. He is kid safe, traffic safe, and easy to handle in all ways. He is good for grooming, vet, and farrier. He is fine barefoot and eats 1 scoop of Pinnacle 14% twice per day, plus pasture and hay. We do recommend a joint supplement like Actiflex (daily) and Equioxx/Previcox on days when he seems stiff.
Cash is up-to-date on vaccines, Coggins, deworming and farrier care. We are asking a donation of your choice as his adoption fee. If you’re interested in adding Cash to your family, please fill out our adoption application.
