Santiago lived in a field all alone his entire life before coming to rescue underweight and matted. He was rehabbed, given basic ground manners training including catching, leading, hoof handling and boundaries before finding his adoptive home in late 2016. Sadly, health and economic concerns have made his adoptive family unable to continue caring for him for life and Santiago is once again seeking a happily ever after. This boy craves attention of other horses, and is gentle and kind with humans. He will stand tied, and leads well, and makes an excellent companion horse. Due to his extended time alone he is quite tolerant to being alone, and would make a good buddy to a horse who horse shows that needs a friend at home. He is up to date on shots and Coggins.
Santiago’s adoption fee is waived. He is just seeking a good safe landing place with a family to love him.
