Madison came to Safe Harbor from a 2015 neglect investigation. She was living on a small acreage lot with over 60 other animals. Madison and several others were voluntarily relinquished by the owner during the course of the neglect investigation. Though we believed she was in foal at the time of her arrival to rescue, she thankfully was not. Madison is, however, a very easy keeper, and must be on a restricted diet. She is pleasantly plump, and works daily on her weight watchers plan (though admittedly with very little progress).
