“Indy” is approximately 24 years old and has recently returned to Safe Harbor from a loving adopter who was heartbroken to return him. Indy has been a companion for most of his life. He was found to be quite reactive under saddle so early training did not continue, and upon his first visit to Safe Harbor, it was determined that he’d probably suffered some abuse at some point in his life.
Indy is looking for a quiet home as a buddy with another horse and a human who has some horse experience. He does need senior feed and care typical of an older horse. He’s fine living outdoors with access to a stall or good wind-proof shelter.
He has been fully vetted including a dental check, vaccinations and Coggins (March, 2021) and is on schedule to see the farrier. He will be cleared for adoption around April 1.
In the meantime, we would greatly appreciate sponsors for assistance with his intake.
We are also accepting applications from interested adopters.
